It always gladdens the heart to read of stories where women follow their instincts and fight for their baby despite doctors advising otherwise. The story involves a mother, Natalie Lander who had an horrific car crash and was left fighting for her life. Doctors discovered she was 4 weeks pregnant and advised her to have an abortion – she refused and despite having various disabling conditions she recovered and gave birth to a baby boy, Max last March!
It is always a shock to see how the baby is sacrificed in many situations. Instead of seeing this tiny life as worthy of protection and love the medical profession often see the unborn as disposable and worthless. In this heart wrenching story we see the mother fighting for her developing baby that she had been unaware of until the car crash and perhaps this helped her fight harder to recover?
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if this story could make people stop and re-think why an innocent life should be ended in a misguided attempt to make a situation better and perhaps save babies in the future.
