The flyer above is a save the date notice for a young people’s event being organised on 2nd – 4th November 2018 by the Vocation’s Forum of the Conference for Religious in Scotland.
The forum has recently been re-established and this event is part of a longer term strategy to make religious life more visible and relevant here in Scotland.
A full programme for the event will be available in early August but we wanted to make you aware of the event as early as possible in the hope that you will be able to help us in one of three ways.
Firstly, if you have anyone who you think may be interested in the event you can register your interest and reserve a place(s).
Secondly, you can sponsor a place(s) for a young person(s) to attend. Cost £50 and cheques should be made payable to the Conference of Religious Scotland and sent to me at the address below.
Thirdly, you can help publicise the event through your contacts, parish groups and social media.
And, of course we would be most grateful if you could keep this project in your prayers. If you need further information, please feel free to get in touch.

We are looking forward to hosting the Project Truth team for their training night in August.
The Project Truth Roadshow gets together young people from across the UK to spend a week travelling around Scotland’s towns and cities, bringing the pro-life message to the public with real joy: because life is beautiful. Here’s a link to a video showing what happens on the roadshow.
The week on the road costs over £200 per participant when transport, accommodations, meals and materials are taken in to account. Adding new equipment brings the running costs this year to around £7000.
Below is a Project Truth Wishlist which outlines certain costs. Why not sponsor meals for the week for a young person? Or perhaps a hoody and t-shirt combo? Or maybe your pro-life group would consider sponsoring one of the 9 seater vans? You can donate online by using their GoFundMe page.

*** Are you passionate about pro-life issues? ***
Do you believe that all babies should be given the right to life and that all expectant mothers, especially those struggling under difficult circumstances, should be loved and generously supported?
Do you want to help spread the word about how amazing the development of the baby is and help to show people it’s humanity?
Do you think human rights should apply to all, no matter their size, ability or location?
Do you want to help heal the hearts of those who have been hurt by an abortion decision?
Apply to be part of the Project Truth Roadshow and let’s get to the heart of the issue!
Closing date for applications is Monday 10th May

At 7pm in St Margaret’s Church, Clydebank. All are invited for prayer, food and fellowship:
“I invite you all warmly to come and pray and share a meal with us at St Margaret’s as we are joined by the lovely Br Paolo of the Taize community in France. Br Paolo is deeply passionate about encouraging young people in their journey towards Christ and we are delighted to learn from him, pray with him and one another as we seek to enter ever more deeply into the mystery of God’s love for us.
Br Paolo is seeking to encourage more young Scottish people to journey to Taize and has made known to us of some scholarship opportunities, so any school pupils in particular who may be interested, please encourage them to come along.”
