Reducing Teenage Pregnancy Rate

The teenage pregnancy rate in the UK has halved since 2007. A study by BPAS showed that it is due to teenagers being more education and family focussed and socialising online more than face to face. Here’s a BBC article on this topic. This shows that a change in behaviour, rather than contraceptive services, is what has made a difference.

50 Questions – Videos on YouTube

The series of videos of Sr Roseann answering 50 questions about abortion, to mark the 50th anniversary of the abortion act, is now available on YouTube. The series is titled “Abortion – 50 Years On”.

In due course, we plan to make these videos available in pen drive form to schools, along with a booklet of the questions and answers.

So, get watching and sharing these videos- they are short, sharp and to the point and will give you all the reasons for why we are pro-life.


Catholic Schools Good For Scotland

A new documentary film celebrating the past 100 years of Catholic Education in Scotland, has been released. It is well worth watching and can be viewed here:

The film features our own Sr Roseann and many other well known people, some of whom have attended Catholic schools, such as; Professor Sir Tom Devine, Sir Tom Farmer (Entrepreneur), Mark Millar MBE (Comic Book Writer), Maura Currie (Broadcaster), Kieran Tierney (Footballer), First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, Ruth Davidson MSP, Richard Leonard MSP.

The film covers three key themes-

1. The History of the Education Scotland Act 1918

2. The memories of those who attended Catholic schools.

3. The current crop of Catholic students & looking towards the future.
